

Virginie is an associate attorney with Williams LLP, specializing in commercial litigation and cross–border dispute resolution. Her practice covers litigation and arbitration, across different industries.
Before joining Williams LLP, Virginie worked for three years in France. Virginie gained professional experience in law firm such Norton Rose Fulbright and in the Dispute Resolution Department at TotalEnergies.
Among other issues, Virginie has experience in domestic litigation, like litigating claims for breach of contract, fraud, defamation, among other issues. Virginie also has experience in international issues as it relates to investments in Africa and the Middle East. In particular, she has worked on issues related to the notion of expropriation, which required her to interpret and apply tax and mining law of the countries concerned as well as the OHADA procedural rules.
Virginie obtained her master’s degree from the University of Versailles Paris-Saclay, a top 3 international arbitration and litigation program and graduated 3rd in her class.
As a result of her apprenticeship in France, Virginie is well acquainted with the European Union law, French law, and most of laws of civil law countries.
Her perfect command of the French language is also an asset and has helped her in many commercial and investment arbitrations in Europe and North and Central Africa.
Virginie passed the French Bar Exam and has an LLM from NYU Law.
Besides work, Virginie enjoys going to museums and running.
