Williams LLP also advises African governments on issues relating to rights of their citizens abroad, rights that apply to diplomats in foreign countries, as well as issues involving international trade and commerce. We have substantial experience in areas related to trade compliance, including trade compliance laws like the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (“AfCFTA”), the Economic Community of West African States (“ECOWAS”), the Southern African Development Community (“SADC”), and the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (“IGAD”), and other regional trade blocks in Africa.
